This is pretty interesting tutorial: lipsync tutorial. What I really enjoyed were the comments in the end about languages and cultural evolution, particularly the part about the media interfaces supplanting the village lifestyle.

Just skip down to the bottom if you are in a rush and want to read the author's little manifesto. I can imagine all these ideas swirling through his head at 5am after several long nights of coding up this tutorial of lipsync. Humm!
